DESCRIPTION:
The purposes of the Title II, Part A-Teacher and Principal Training and Recruiting Fund Program are to increase student achievement through intensive, sustained, and high quality teacher and principal professional development; to increase the recruitment and retention of highly qualified teachers in classrooms and highly qualified principal and assistant principals in schools; and to ensure that highly qualified and experienced teachers are equitably distributed to high poverty and minority students buildings, classrooms and districts across 91Ô´´ (at rates equal to, or greater than, low-poverty and non-minority students).
